Today, I wanted to share pictures of Iris. I love the photographs from her recent retro boudoir session. A lot of people think boudoir, and assume that it’s always lingerie. Iris is a perfect example on how to mix it up. Pencil skirts, vintage tops, and a touch of makeup can be just as alluring. It’s about what makes you feel good.

As Iris told me, “Boudoir is all about attitude.”

I asked Iris what inspired the look for her photo shoot. She told me Kyle picked out the vintage theme. “It’s something I always to do but would never do for myself. He gave it to me as a gift, which pushed me out of my comfort zone and I LOVED it!” She had “absolutely not” done anything quite like this before, and it won’t be the last time.

Her advice on making the time for a shoot of your own: “DO IT! It was way more fun than I ever imaged it could be, especially with you guys. The pictures just came out amazing.”

I love the way that her dark nails and tattoo peek thorough in this picture giving it just a little hint at its modernity. “I never knew I had to pay so much attention to your fingers before the shoot If you aren’t careful they end up looking wonky.” (We then continued to discuss our love of the word wonky. I truly didn’t think anyone else used it but me.)

Iris is the co-owner of Millefiori , a gorgeous spa that focuses on medical skin rejuvenation in Melbourne, Florida. When she isn’t making everyone feel beautiful, she’s relaxing with her two rescue dogs, Aspen and Blizzard. Aspen is a lab mix who is just about to turn nine and Blizzard is a two year old white German Shepard who is scared of his own shadow.

As her tattoo says, “Enjoy the Little Things.”
